Club de Fútbol Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, or simply Tigres UANL, is a Mexican football club based in San Nicolás de los Garza, a city in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Mexico and one of the most successful teams of the Liga MX in recent years.^[3] Founded in 1960, the club has spent most of its history in Liga MX, the top tier of the Mexican football league system.
